While I devote a fair amount of thought to the important issues of our day, my attempts to distill those thoughts into writing have never amounted to much. While I do possess both interest and insight into our current state, I find I have little that is original to add to the conversation itself.
Meanwhile, writings based on my personal experience take on a life and momentum of their own. They insistently whisper to be given form and sometimes keep me awake at night until I give in to their demand for existence.
While I acknowledge my need to capture ideas in writing, I have accepted I will not be a commentator on the events of our era, as all I have to contribute are reflections on my own experience.
